half time score-2-0 (opposition leads)

a long and tough time with delhi sultanate turned my head..i skipped mughals and went to modern history straight..reason is i was tired of medieval history and likely to get confused...modern history is vital for both GS mains and history itself-plus it has overlapped a part of political science paper too with change in portions..the positive thing is with complete mastery over modern indian history we can ace all three.i certainly aspire to master it,and so went there straight.
whats the plan?read bipin chandra(done) and sumit sarkar(boring but essential,2009 quote questions lifted straight from here) abd get the basic done.rebound to finish vijaynagara (almost done ) and bahamani kingdoms, marathas(done in depth)..take on mughals and return back to modern history.
thus by doing modern twice i hope to master it and be prepared for some tough questions that are sure to come from here.
i have consciously avoided political science after doing 30 % of the syllabus and that too mainly paper 1.the reason is political science is my last paper in mains and will give me a better chance for last minute stuff..i will focus purely on it 15 august or 20 august onwards.
as of now mapwork is up to the mark, and i am in a comfortable position with 3 months to go.
problem areas-GS statistics, science and technology and most of all GS geography.
my untested strategy-i am going to give last priority to 100 marks in GS geography, and depend on current affairs knowledge and past background to pull me through.
no need to say its a big gamble, and i hope i am not messing up a year with it...lets see,the only way to find out-is to go ahead and do it!
my score after half the game is 2-0 trailing...its now time for super substitutions(strategy) and motivated hard work to come to the party...lets hope i can do it!
